Growing up in Adelaide was the best thing in the world. I know a lot of people don’t rate Adelaide that highly, but that’s because they don’t know what it’s like. They don’t know how good it is to not have to fight off crowds, sit in traffic or compete for goods and services. If I lived in one of the major capital cities in the east, I’d have to deal with all of that stuff. I’d probably even have to book in to get a car service. In the Adelaide CBD, no one has to do that – you can just show up with your car on the day and get whatever you want to be done to it.
Imagine living in a different state and having to book in to get things. Life is just so much easier being from a smaller city. I love getting everything I want whenever I want and in a bigger city, I wouldn’t get that. Pretty much, living in Adelaide is the best thing ever and I pity anyone that doesn’t.
Sometimes, just like everyone else, I wonder if the grass is greener on the other side. Would I like to live in Sydney by the beach or Melbourne, the shopping capital of Australia? Maybe. Would I like having to book a wheel alignment service? In Adelaide, I wouldn’t have to do that, and because that’s what I’m used to, I’m going to say probably not. So even though I like to let my mind wander sometimes, I don’t think that living somewhere other than Adelaide would be any good to me.
You know what, now that I think about it, I’m going to go to my local mechanic shop and see if my car needs any sort of service. When things are just that easy, why wouldn’t I do it? Best be off now! Going to live my best life in Adelaide.
