Home, Large Home

Taxes confuse me. I’ve been trawling through tax calculators for what feels like forever, and I still can’t figure them out. Like, you’re in a bracket, but you don’t get taxed on ALL your pay, but you might (the language is real confusing), and if you earn a ton of money then you get taxed a ton as well, and there are brackets. So, you get taxed just as much if you’re way down at the bottom of the bracket than someone on the top fringes.

Why does anyone even earn lots of money in the first place? You buy your big home, then you ask for a massive decrease in pay so that you can keep more of what you own. All done. I have invented the way.

I was watching Hoity Toity Home Squiz, and those buyers advocates are taking people to look around these giant homes, and the first thing that comes to my mind is that they’re going to have to pay to heat them. They will pay SO much, for heating and cooling and cleaning and tending to the garden. I suppose that is the literal price to pay for owning a big home, but then what do you have? Bragging rights? I don’t think I’d want to pay that much just for bragging rights.

My plan of action would be to hire a Melbourne buyers advocate, and then…ask them to find me a high-end property…that’s really small. Size is NOT everything when it comes to homes. This would have to be a super-advanced home, with plenty of hidden and innovative storage, high-end security, top quality cooking stuff…you know, all the stuff that high-end homes usually have, but without all that floorspace that needs mopping.

I believe property advocates are up for the challenge. You can have it all, but at the same time not pay much for maintenance. And you don’t have to take an express train from your bedroom to the lounge.
